Throughout the year, the Y hosts special events for adults, kids, families and the community. Y events are a great opportunity to have fun and meet new people in a safe and friendly environment.
Adult Basketball Night
When: Monday nights beginning December 1st
Time: 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
Where: Carroll County Area YMCA
Ages: 16 & Up
Cost: FREE to Members Program Participants: $8/night
Registration Deadline: NONE. Show up & play.
What: The east court of the YMCA Gym will be set up for open gym. Games will be full court with score being kept by the teams. Players will “shoot for teams” and switch through the night. Games played to 15 by 1’s & 2’s.
The 1 Million Step Challenge
When: January 1, 2026–April 11, 2026
What: 100 days to walk 1 million steps. Walk an average of 10,000 steps per day to achieve your goals for overall health and wellness. Everyone who finishes, receives a prize. Official rules available at the Welcome Center or on our website www.carrollcountyareaymca.org

2 Person Team Weight Loss Challenge
When: First Weigh in: January 2nd
Final Weigh in: February 13th
Fee: YMCA Members: $30
Program Participants: $45
What: Join us for our annual weight loss competition. Last year participants lost on average 19.4 pounds over the course of the six week challenge. The challenge is open to anyone who wants to start the year off right with their health journey. Results based on percentage lost. Prizes for the top 3 weight loss teams.

Youth Cornhole Tournament
When: Tuesday, December 23rd
Where: Carroll County Area YMCA Gymnasium
Ages: 10-18 years old
Fee: $20 per team
Format: Double elimination with prizes!
13th Annual Turkey Trot 5K
When: November 27
What: The YMCA will be hosting its 13th annual Turkey Trot 5K run or walk on Thanksgiving morning. Hoodies will be given out to everyone who is pre-registered by November 5th.
Race Start Time: 8:00 am
Birthday Party Rentals
Let the Y help organize your next birthday party. We'll take care of the set-up and clean-up so you can relax and celebrate your child's special day with family and friends.
Details:
YMCA PROVIDES: Tables, Chairs & party setup for 12 children. An additional fee of $3 will be charged for additional children, including the birthday child & siblings. Adults supervising the party are free. Plates, cups, napkins, plasticware, one gallon of lemonade, tablecloth & lighter are provided. Guests bring their own cake, ice cream, cutting utensils & any other party items needed. Set up & Cleanup are provided by YMCA. Guests are asked to tidy up the room and clean any major messes prior to leaving the party.
Birthday Party Options:
1. Basic MPR- A two-hour block for a party in the Multipurpose Room.
$110 for Members/ $140 for Program Participants
2. Basic MPR & Gymnasium- A two-hour block for a party. One hour will start in 1/2 of the gymnasium and guests are allowed to play basketball, pickleball. All other sports/balls are to be approved by the Executive Director before the party. The second hour will be in the Multipurpose Room for the birthday party.
$125 for Members/ $155 for Program Participants
3. MPR with Bounce House- A two-hour block for a party. One hour will start in the 1/2 gymnasium with an inflatable bounce house. The second hour will be in the Multipurpose Room for the birthday party.
$175 for Members/$225 for Program Participants

A facility rental agreement must be signed between the YMCA and the renter, as well as a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure the date.
